National Service Scheme (NSS)

The NSS is registered under the Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University. The volunteers organize and participate in various health education programmes, and awareness camps in the community. These camps are organized by the College and Government Organizations to help the society. The NSS volunteers organize camps on specific days in various settings such as Hospitals, Primary Health Centre, Schools and Community area. IEC materials such as PowerPoint presentation, Pamphlets, flash cards and cultural programme such as Villu pattu, mime show, dance progammes, dramas etc. are used.

The NSS organizes the special camp in the selected villages in community. Every Year special camp is organized for 7 days wherein 50 volunteers participate and organize community development and health activities for the village.

Youth Red Cross (YRC) and Red Ribbon Club (RRC)

The YRC is registered under the Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University. The volunteers organize and participate in various health education programmes, and awareness camps in the community. These camps are organized by the College and Government Organizations to help the society.

The Youth Red Cross Unit of Annasamy Rajammal College of Nursing organizes and participates in the Blood donation camp, Eye camp, Medical camp etc.
